BROTHERHOOD DESIGNS FOUNDATION acquires and distributes retired fire hose to zoos, animal sanctuaries and other beneficiaries as part of the Retired Fire Hose Waste Reduction Program, and to reduce waste while supporting animal welfare. The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

To further its mission, the Foundation generates earned income through the sale of American Flags and other patriotic items made from retired fire hose, with all proceeds reinvested into the organization’s charitable activities.
